Pizza Hut~

School was off today to replace the sports day on Saturday. Using this chance to have lunch with my ex-classmates.

It was fun. My friends changed a lot. They became prettier and handsome =) no kidding. Some of their attitudes changed, for example, Ying Fang wasn't as crazy as last time and Alex was like stolen Ying Fang's craziness. But still, they were still the great friends that I once knew.

I took my 550D there, and took many photos. I promised my friends that I won't upload the photos on Facebook, but I didn't say anything about uploading it on my blog. So, here are the awesome photos =)

Sports Day '10

This year's sports day is different from the previous years of sports days I've attended. Let me list out all the differences..

  1. I'm not marching for scouts anymore, heck, there isn't even any scout marchings or any other uniform units' march.
  2. It's not in a big stadium. Previous years of sports days was held either in Cheras Football Stadium or Bukit Jalil Stadium. This year it's held in UKM stadium, where there's only very few seats.
  3. I get to see many different faces in this sports day. It's 3 schools combined together, so...macam itu la..
  4. There are no high jumps, long jumps and shot put this year. All the events are done during Sports Rehearsal on wednesday.
  5. Did not spend it with my friends from the previous sports day. Because..
  6. I'm attending a different school's sports day.
Yup! This is my first year in Cempaka, which means a lot of events are my first, and Sports Day isn't excluded. The March Pass was very very different from SMKBBSP. Marching in SMKBBSP is very serious. The commands are either from Kadets or Scouts or Brigades. It isn't a laughing matter.

But, in Cempaka's march pass, which I joined, there were singing and dancing and cheering and props and costumes. More like a parade actually. It was fun when we performed. Quite funny.

Harimau won the sports day, but lost terribly in the march pass. We got last, unfortunately, but still, the experience was unforgettable. =)

It's sports day tomorrow. I'm marching for Harimaus.

I'm hoping I can get someone to record the march for me. Wanna see how we rock! haha

Bron-zeh~

I'm back from Bronze Expedition!!

It was really awesome. It's my first expedition and my first time camping with my friends from Cempaka. I met a lot of new friends, and got to know my friends better. There are only 6 form 4s from Cempaka Cheras: Me, Wei Kei, Sher Win, Marcus, Navian and Ting Yao.

We played in the bus on the way to the camp in Cameron Highlands. Played "Once upon a time" which is a game that requires a sick mind (haha), and the game which Sue Yee taught me last year, 请你跟我这样做. Win Lock was the loser in this game lol. He kept losing and whenever he speaks. his rhythm is off. Losers have to shake hands with a stranger of the opposite sex and if you lose 3 times, you'll have to hug someone of the opposite sex. So far I just lost twice throughout the whole camp. Also played truth or dare which I was dared to wake someone up shouting fire.

When we reached the camp site, there were 2 buses from Damansara. Altogether we have 104 students joining this expedition. We were separated into groups and I was in group 5 along with Sher Win. Our group came out with the name Team Cam High. Cam for Cameron and High for Highland and we strive for the highest. Nice name, I know, haha. Our leader was Brian and assisted by Sher Win. Let's see if I can get the names out right. There were Adil, Nicholas, Marissa, Nadira, Nadia, Jan-ni and Jing Yee in our group. We started off with setting up tents and then survivor cooking with corn and sweet potatoes in the forest. I burnt my thumb. After that was War Game, which 5 groups team up to "bomb" the other 5 groups using Orange and Kiwi (I think) juice. After that was bathe and dinner and then night show then sleep.

It was raining during midnight and our tents were sipping in water. Jan-ni, Suli and Racheal got wet and Sher Win and my bag pack was wet too. It was a nice sleep compared to the previous camps I went. We woke up at 5am OURSELVES, and changed into the Bronze Expedition shirt and brushed our teeth. Ate breakfast and packed for the trekking. By 6.30am, we started trekking Gunung Berembun. Muddy and slippery. We reached the peak around 10.15am, and we reached the camp site by 1.30pm. Long walk back to the camp, but it was all the way downhill in the forest. Changed and packed and waited for the dismissal.

About 3pm, we got onto the bus and departed for school. It was raining and the water was leaking in through the Emergency Exit. Water was dripping on my head and so I wore the raincoat IN the bus. Played again the same game in the bus. Wei Kei sang Nobody in front of the bus, Navian asked someone to marry him, Suli confessed to Win Lock that he was cute, Aliff shouted Jan-ni is beautiful. Ting Yao and Sher Win walked cat-walk in the bus.

We reached school around 8pm on 17th of April. Tired, exhausted, but gained experience and fun.

Paging...

Went to Sime Darby Medical Center (formally known as Subang Jaya Medical Center) today.

This hospital is the first place I visited since I came into this world. I was born in this hospital, and so is my brother.

I remember when I was about standard 1 or somewhere around that age, my mom brought me here to see a nose specialist. I was having sinuses 24/7 and keep sneezing and such. I don't remember much during that time, just that he prescribed a medicine for me to pump into my nose. It was a pain and the medicine stinks.

Then when I was form 2, well, form 1 year end actually, I told my mom about a lump in my body which I noticed for quite some time ago. My mom brought me to this hospital to check it. Using the x-ray thingy, the doctor found that the lump is 2cm wide. The doctor said that it's harmless and common. But he asked us to come check again after 6 months. And so we did. 6 months later we went again, and we x-rayed the lump. It grew to 3cm. The doctor suggested that we operate it out because it is growing. And so I did. I think is was 5th of June, 2008 that I went through my first operation. I stayed a night in the hospital, my mom did too, just to keep me company. It was like checking in to a hotel, actually. The bed feels nice to sleep, and this was also a first time I had my meal on my bed. Nicole visited me. A hell big of surprise because I didn't tell anyone about this operation. And yet, she found out. Indeed, she is a great friend. I borrowed the portable DVD player from my cousin and I watched Underdog when my mom went home and I was alone. Luckily for me, there was Disney Channel in the room for me. My favourite channel =)

Few months before my operation (or after, I forgot..) My brother suddenly had a allergy attack in the middle of the night. I hadn't sleep yet due to my nervousness for the BM Syarahan competiti0n. Around 4am, I heard knocks and thuds from my bro's room. I went out to see what happened. My brother was holding his throat and ask me to call my parents. He said something is swollen in his throat and he can't bring his head up. My parents quickly brought him to the hospital in the middle of the night. I can't go, because everyone was rushing, and I was still in my pyjamas. So I stayed home waiting for them. I'm not sure what my brother was allergic to, neither do my parents. The doctor said his throat was swollen and smaller. I think they gave my brother an injection, then they came home. It sounds like some kind of movie or drama. But it really happened.

And today, I went to check an ear specialist. As some of my friends and family know, I have an infection on my ear, since 5 years ago. It's not in the ear, but on the pinna..is it called pinna..? Not sure, just that it's on my ear. Doctor gave me a cream for me to apply for 1 week, if it doesn't heal, then we'll see what we're gonna do =)

Scouts rocks, no doubt

2 weeks of sports rehearsal. Harsh.

Sports day is coming up. Next Saturday, 24th of April, is my first sports day in Sri Cempaka. It will be held in Bangi UKM, from 5pm to 8pm. Weird. To me, the fun part of sports day is standing under the sun and getting baked. At the end of the day, everyone is 3 times darker.

For past years of sports day, I've only been in sports events in form 1. But for 3 consecutive years, I had been marching for scouts. And for THAT 3 consecutive years, scouts won the marching competition. Marching has always been my favorite activity in scouts, because it is way different from other house/unit's marching. For example, we march slowly, but neatly. Some other houses march damn fast and neat ONLY at the beginning. 3 minutes later everyone started to get tired and their timing is off. We also did not need to shout "KIRI KANAN". Instead, we did not shout AT ALL. We just look at the person in front of us and beside us and follow. With everyone's teamwork, we looked pro. And the most unique part is our salute. During my last sports day, our salute is hit the shoulder, point to the sky and salute. With everyone's white gloves, we looked awesome and rocked the whole march.

I miss scouts. I miss listening to Yan Shan or Zhan Sheng or Jun Men giving commands. I miss Xin Jie being the penanda. I miss Dan and Jonathan and Ting Sen gaying all the time. I miss the whistle blowing. Can I join them again..?

So far so good..?

It's April. Time passes real fast...

This is my fourth month in the new school. Sometimes in class, I tend to daydream a lot. I keep wondering how is 4H now and how are the gang coping with form 4. I'm doing okay, not good nor bad. It's just that I still can't believe I'm studying in Sri Cempaka.

Expeditions are coming up. I need to register soon. Unfortunately it's a first come first serve basis, and my parent's haven't agreed for me to go. I'm afraid that when I sign up it'll be too late. It's really expensive. If I am going for all I'd need at least 8k. *sigh* Why la so expensive.....

Sometimes I feel like I should forget about the memories I had, no matter it's with my Saxon friends, PJPO, Kwong Hon or SMKBBSP, because sometimes I really feel like those memories are holding me back, making me not wanting to move on with life. I spend most of my time complaining that I want to go back in time or recalling the fond moments, instead of focusing on what I need to do. I noticed that it's the GOOD memories that are holding me back.

I want to be a happy-go-lucky girl. Wish me luck..?

550D

My dad bought a Canon EOS 550D last friday. Our first DSLR. It was one of my dad's dream to get a DSLR. I took a few photos today, but only found 1 or 2 that is OKAY. Not very nice, but an improvement for me.

Nicknames all

28th March 2010

PJPO was off that day. So some of us orchestra members went out to Sunway =)

It was my first time going out with orchestra friends. Although it's just three (four) of them, but still....=) Let's not consider the Bintulu trip an outing. Our plans that day were eat, movies, eat, eat, play, go home.  We ate lunch in Pasta Zanmai where Mr Chan and his wife joined us. Chuny and Salty Fish Tail (hehehe) joined us later but only Chuny ate with us. Then I called MUNCHY and loudspeakered it a while but it was too noisy, so I just passed the phone around to everyone.

Locky and Jo spoke to her, then Mr Chan, then *ohh-la-la* Lochy. For some reasons, Munchy is rumored to be with Lochy and Jo was rumoured to be with Chuny. The phone call was funny. Can you imagine how fun it would be more if Munchy followed us? Too bad la..

After lunch we went to Popular then to Baskin Robins and waited for Pinpin. He was late. Not very, but still late. We missed the starting of the movie, The Lovely Bones. A few minutes after we sat down, Chuny finished his previous movie and joined us. Three girls back row, three boys front row. I thought Lovely Bones was a lovely peaceful movie, but it was scary. The suspense was so horrifying. Pinpin and Chuny was scared too. Lochy enjoyed the music more than the movie. I have 2 words to say to Lochy: "Shit You".

After the movie we went into Asian Avenue to eat some desserts and we ran into Lydia who is from PJPO, too. Ate ate ate then received an sms which made the 3 of us worried. Pinpin then brought us to the arcade next to the cinema and played mario racing. First round, I won. It was just me and Pinpin. Next round I let Jo play but then after 1 round I took over. Ended up 2nd. Chuny was first, 3rd was Pinpin and last was Locky. Lochy didn't play.

After that we just went home =)

In the arcade =) first round!!
