Bronzeh 2011

Well I just noticed. I didn't post anything about Bronze Expedition '11.

I don't remember much from it already. I regret not writing it earlier. OH WELL, better late than never. So here goes...

Bronze this year was on the 8th to 9th of April. Last year it was at Gunung Berembun, Cameron Highlands. This year we went to Gombak. Last year D'sara cempakans kinda dominated the whole Bronze, but this year, THIS YEAR, Cheras FORM FIVE cempakans dominated the whole bronze *insert evil smirk*

So yeah, I didn't get to experience the bus ride from school that day. Wei Kei, Suwei and I went for the MSSKL Basketball Competition, along with Chee Cheng, Nichola, Dianna and Celine. Only Suwei, Wei Kei, Celine and I went for Bronze. We won the match that day, so it kinda boosted our energy level on the way there. And when we reached, we were like divas. Everyone had to walk down the road because the bus couldn't go through the narrow road, BUT we were on a van, so they stopped us right in front of the camp. When we reached there, they already had the tents set up and they were going through the first briefing.

While we were in Kuen Cheng, we got to know that me, Suwei and Wei Kei were on the same group along with Ding and Weng Fai. It was a total relief they didn't separate us. Amanda joined us in the group after that because of some reason, and supposingly TIAM JUN was going to join our group. Thank goodness En.Ku said no exchange in groups, but with Amanda as the exceptional case :)

So, we named our group Team Sakai. It was Amanda's idea. Our group members are:

Ding (Captain)
Weng Fai (Captain)
Wei Kei (Co-Captain)
Suwei
Amanda
Imran
Qqayum
Rizal
and 2 form 1 girls which I've forgotten their names. SORRY!

And...Mr.Vikki as our team teacher :)

Explanation :

Weng Fai was supposed to be the captain for our team, but then after that he kinda stepped down and Ding took over.

Qqayum and Rizal are the form 1 boys. They are not the form 5 Qqayum and Rizal. The form 5 Rizal was at another group and Qqayum didn't join Bronze.

The 2 form 1 girls. They didn't talk much.

Okay.

So we started off with designing our team flags and coming up with a war cry. Our flag was just the word SAKAI and a logo thingy. Our logo was a spear and a shield used by the real Sakai. Our war cry was epicly awesome. Here it goes.

Weng Fai/Ding : SAKAI!!!!
All : WE FIGHT!!!!
Weng Fai/Ding : SAKAI!!!!!
All : WE WIN!!!!!
Weng Fai/Ding : WE SHOUT.......?!?
All : SAKAI!!!!
Girls : OooEeeOooEeeOooEee!!!
Boys : *some fail stomping clapping thing*
All : OMPH!!!!

Yeah. I can kinda say that we have the most awesome war cry.
Then after that it was team building games. It was the curtain call thingy. I don't know what is the real name of the game, but they used something to act as a curtain, when the curtain comes down, you have to shout out the name of the person behind the curtain. Then after that it was the Goreng Pisang game. It was like "Goreng pisang, goreng pisang, goreng pisang sekarang....Pisang apa, pisang apa, pisang apa sekarang?" and then you have to continue with "Pisang xxxx......" so and so forth. On our team we had Jiha, Ana and Tengku helping while on the rival team they had Pn Nor, En Hilmi helping them. BUT we won them, FAIR AND SQUARE. Then we had this Bombay Bomb game. HAHA It was nice. All the teams have to think up of a country's name, then like send bombs by saying "Bombay bomb, Bombay bomb, Bombay bomb to XXX bomb." then the team whose country was mention has to repeat and bomb to another country. After that we went into the river, and the fun part begins..

We all sat with our own team, and then had to make the alphabets they say within 3o seconds. The water was cold and the current was strong. Plus, the rocks were slippery. But it was fun, and we did complete them all I think. After that we just played in the river and wait for the Group A people to return.

We didn't have the chance to play War Game. Last year it was syrup bomb. It was sticky and disgusting, but fun. We were way behind schedule this year. After dinner and shower, I was really really pooped. But then there's still this night orientation and we had to wait for few hours till our turn. After that, 2am Night trekking. Was damn tired and damn dark and damn scary. Luckily Wei Kei and Ding and Imran was with me. Had to cross rivers and made our pants wet.

We reached the end of the trail by 3.30am like that. The end of the trail was the side of the highway to Genting. Lame, I know. Was about 4am when we reached our tents. Without further disruptions, we went to bed.

Woke up around 7am and had to get ready to go for the waterfall absailing and survivor cooking. Our survivor cooking was FAIL. The only edible food that we made, was eaten by all of us. Our fire couldn't start, Qqayum stepped on the egg, sand keeps going into the flour. So yeah, we kinda gave up on survivor cooking. Waterfall absailing was nice, but I slipped and bang onto the cliff and had a bad bruise on my left shin. The scar is still there till now. Heh. Had some conflicts with the teachers because they wanted to cancel the activity but then almost half of the people hadn't got the chance to go for it. We complained and asked for a refund and kinda made the teachers go mad. Well, everyone of us hate that one particular teacher.

Bronze ended badly because we were all seperated when we went home. Plus that particular teacher made things worse. But nevertheless, Team Sakai is the best.

Oh and for the video of everything in bronze, click here. :) Credits to Jiaying and enjoy the video, please :)
